Clacton Air Show 2014.
Today saw me flying among the VIPs at Clacton Airshow, with so many aircraft on show including maybe the last time the two flying Lancaster’s will be together as well as 50th anniversary of the red arrows.
Its was a great day the weather was perfect with the right amount of blue sky and clouds to add some atmosphere.
On display were, Pits special Tucano Sea king-Essex medi vac helicopter-wing walkers Red arrows Battle of Britain memorial flight Canadian Lancaster (both Lancaster’s Flying together) Spitfire and hurricane Typhoon fighter.
A truly memorable day as both Lancaster’s will probably not been flown together again any time soon based on the logistical task to get one of them over here in the first place.
The crowds really enjoyed seeing them both fly together it was to a point that people stood for the occasion as a sense of respect, as this was the hi-light of the show and the crowds cheered and clamped each time they flew by.
Watching these aircraft fly by at any airshow is always a delight and I always look forward to as many as I can get to see. Hope you enjoy the images below as much as I did photographing them.
